Damalerio speaks of good tidings while in Germany

Provincial Administrator Alfonso “Ae” Damalerio II on Saturday brought the good tidings of Gov. Edgar Chatto’s administration in a speaking engagement in Germany. The governor’s alter ego told the Boholanos in Germany on the gains of Bohol under Gov. Chatto and the continuing pursuit of the vision for the province. He graced the annual benefit event organized by the “Boholano sa Germany Boholhilfe e V” to raise funds for the group’s additional projects in Bohol. As the most powerful Capitol factotum after the governor, Damalerio relayed to his provincemates in the German soil the governor’s deep appreciation for their sustained partnership with the provincial government. He graced the annual benefit event organized by the “Boholano sa Germany Boholhilfe e V” at the Van der Valk Hotel in Gladbeck on August 25 to raise funds for the group’s additional projects in Bohol while strengthening the association.

A governor’s alter ego and a very active key capitol functionary, Damalerio relayed to his provincemates in the European land the governor’s deep appreciation for their sustained partnership with the provincial government. Damalerio updated the group of the multi-faceted development programs of the administration of Chatto and Vice Gov. Concepcion Lim. The Boholhilfe which is led by its chairwoman, Boholana Estrellita Briggs, toured the provincial administrator for close observations of some advance emergency response technologies and systems. Damalerio at the same time handles the capitol-organized Telephone and Radio System Integrated Emergency Response 117 (TaRSIER 117), a tested efficient quick response system. Boholhilfe’s annual benefit event which is on its seventh year is the organization’s main raiser of funds for its various projects and programs in Bohol. Briggs said their future projects will include chapels and Day Care centers in different barangays in the province.

Briggs and her British husband David formally invited the provincial administrator to the event, which was attended by some 200 Boholanos together with their spouses, and even by non-Boholanos, from around Germany. The lady Briggs was among the heads of overseas Boholano groups who attended the sixth Tigum Bol-anon sa Tibuok Kalibutan (TBTK) here last May. The organization and another group then donated to the provincial government numerous equipment for the hospitals and Day Care centers. To date, the Boholhilfe has already supported over 40 projects in different parts of the province. The Briggs couple also toured Damalerio to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Middle Rhine where romantic villages and castles explain a tempting tourism of great heritage value. Tourism is one of Bohol’s pillars for economic growth and development. Damalerio’s foreign trip had no cost to the provincial government even if at the same time he relayued to the Boholanos in Germany Chatto’s program that champions the sector of the OFWs. He thanked the Briggs couple and other Boholhilfe officials who include the organization’s secretary, Lolita Adler from Baclayon, and treasurer Amie Joritz from Garcia-Hernandez. The Briggs, Adler and Joritz are the very prime movers of the organization. (Zjem Kisha R. Arigo)
