A middle class subdivision owned by the family of Sen. Manny Villar is taking shape at the foot of Banat-I Hill signaling the entry of the housing developer in this city. Camella Bohol made its presence felt in this city when it launched its scale models in ceremonies held Friday at the Bohol Tropics Resort, this city. Sen. Manny Villar, chief operating officer of Camella Homes, attended Friday’s launching as the guest of honor. The launching of Camella Bohol followed after the Sangguniang Panlungsud granted the preliminary approval for locational clearance (PALC) and development permit application of Communities Bohol, Inc., developer of Camella Bohol Subdivision located in barangay Bool, this city. With a total project area of 9.2864 hectares, the new subdivision has offered a total of 258 lots for sale constituting 6.2 hectares. The remaining 2.4 hectares would be utilized for economic housing consisting of proposed 201 residential units in accordance with BP 220. Among the developments obtaining in the project site are the completion of the administration building while the construction of access roads, drainage and sewage facilities and other infrastructure will commence soonest. Construction of house models are expected to start next year.
