The Medical Practitioners in Bohol are proud of Dr. Victor Alan Torrefranca, Municipal Health Officer of Duero, Bohol. After winning uncontested as Governor for Central Visayas of the Philippine Medical Association in the national elections last March 12, 2012, he is now an official nominee and finalist for another national position in a Search for the “Gawad Modelong Doktor” category under the Association of Municipal Health Officers of the Philippines (AMHOP). Torrefranca, who received a message from the Gawad AMHOP Awards 2012 Committee last week, was told that after a thorough screening and review of his documents and service record, he is now one of the official nominees and finalists to the 2012 “Gawad Modelong Doktor” Search. The same notice directed him to attend the awards ceremony on April 18, 2012 in Paoay, Ilocos Norte. Meanwhile, his election as PMA Governor for Central Visayas is another feather in his cap. People who know Torrefranca will never express any form of surprise for his success. He is a medical practitioner who has been dedicating his life to the medical world especially those who have less in life. He is also into training and facilitating workshops and seminars aside from his active participation in stage presentations for cause.
