Mayor Che led the police team in apprehending the security guards

What alarmed the lady mayor was the report from the barangay captain of Villahermoso regarding the presence of armed men alarming residents in the area prompting Mayor Che to organize a crack team. The team did catch in the act the two security guards who were found to have no licenses of their firearms. The police team claimed that it was only after the inquest that the two men were able to present the licenses of their firearms. According to Olario, his men was hired by a certain Emilio Dolotina of the same barangay allegedly due to reported harassment on his family from his uncle and from the barangay captain It was learned latter that the guards were deployed to act as security detail of a treasure hunting expedition of the Dolotinas.

COORDINATION

Asked if he did make any coordination with the Carmen police before the deployment of the guards, the retired general said he did. In fact, he said, after the deployment, he ordered Senior Inspector Ahmed Cagata, agency manager, to inform thru a letter the chief of police of Carmen and the Army Brigade HQS also at Carmen, to inform them of the deployment of the two security guards and stating herein the security guard licenses and the firearms carried. When Olario was informed that Carmen policemen led by Mayor Che accosted the two security guards for having possessed an unlicensed firearms, the lady mayor refused to talk to the ex-military man. In a letter to Police Supt. Constantino Paul Barot, Jr., Bohol PNP director, the retired general said the mayor’s men search the house of Dolotina without any search warrant and confiscated the firearms of his guards. The general also learned that the search resulted in the loss of P37,000, said to be the proceeds of the Dolotinas’ sale of their piglets. Sought to react regarding Olario claims, Mayor Che said the armed men were arrested for their failure to present valid licenses of their firearms at the time of their arrest.
