SEVEN PNP personnel from Tagbilaran City Police Station and three from Bohol Police Provincial Office once again show exemplary performance after they were awarded an Efficiency Medal (Medalya ng Kagalingan) in a very special occasion last February 6 in Cebu City. The awardees led BPPO Provincial Director PSSUPT Constantino Valencia Barot Jr. received their Medalya ng Kagalingan during the 21 st PNP Foundation Day Celebration held at Police Regional Office 7 grandstand. Gov. Edgar Chatto, chair of the Regional Peace and Order Council 7 was the guest speaker during the occasion. In his speech, the governor cited the PNP personnel for their exemplary performance for a job well done in tracking down illegal drugs personalities, a menace of society today. The awarding of the Medalya ng Kagalingan was embodied in a Special Order number 567 dated November 11, 2011. Asaide from the provincial director, other recipients of the awards were P/Inspector Adriano Bacus, Intel and Opn Officer of Tagbilaran City Police Station together with his men, SPO2 Yolando Bagotchay Jr, SPO2 Juiieto Odvina, P03 Reynaldo Calimbayan, P03 Abraham Paeste, P03 Jimboy Villapaz, P02 Alberto Kudemus, P02 Armad Akil and P01 Fernando Galan Jr while SPO4 Benedicto Loquias and SPO2 Pedro Abinido all of BPPO also received the awards.

The award was for their eminently meritorious performance of duty in a conducted buy-bust operation on June 11, 2011 that resulted in the arrest of Lynn Bas y Tabuno @ Lennox, 31 years old and a resident of Graham Ave., Cogon, Tagbilaran City inside the Travel Lodge Pension House in VP Inting Ave, Mansasa District, Tagbilarab City at about 6:20 in the morning by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Suceso Arcamo of RTC Br 47, Tagbilaran City. Violation of Sec 11, art 11 of RA 9165 under criminal case nr. 15178. Incidental to the subject arrest was the filing of another case for violation of RA 9165 for the confiscation from his possession the packs of shabu with a total of 10.80 grams and pieces of drug paraphernalia. PRO7 Regional Director PCSupt Marcelo Garbo Jr assisted Governor Chatto in giving the awards. The program started at 8:00 o'clock in the morning with the invocation by PSupt.
