Serenata sa Ermita

DIMIAO.- The Local Government of Dimiao, through its Municipal Tourism Council together with the Saint Nicholas de Tolentino Parish, launched Sunday the Serenata sa Ermita. Held at the mysterious Ermita Ruins, tourist spot in this town, the launching was an occasion filled with beautiful music from the nationally-acclaimed Dimiao Children’s Rondalla, the lively Dimiao Band and the Saint Nicholas Academy Performing Arts and the PYM Band. The concept of Serenata sa Ermita was conceived when the two initiating entities saw the budding talents of this generation and the need to promote a rare gem so unique, not just in the province of Bohol but of the whole country, the Ermita Ruins. The activity was held on November 20, to commemorate the feasts of Christ the King and of Sta. Cecilia, the patron saint of the arts. With the launching, this town officially unveiled the series of musical shows as part of the tourism program of the locality. (Katherine M. Berondo-MPIO)
