Bohol gearing up to host CVRAA 2011

T It’s now all systems go for the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVRAA) 2011 slated from November 28-December 2 this year. Members of the Provincial School Board (PSB) with Gov. Edgar M. Chatto as Chair came to an agreement to host the annual athletic meet to be participated in by 19 delegations competing in five different venues that will be announced later. November 28 is set for the launching activities and media gathering for information dissemination as regards the whole big annual regional event which will be housed in a smaller site. The Provincial Government has allocated P3.1M as host province while the three congressional representatives pledged to contribute P1.5M each.

Moreover, a P2.3M fund for DLB implementation was jointly pushed under the PSB. Education Sec. Bro. Armin A. Luistro gave the number of his Executive Assistant to Gov. Chatto so he would be informed of whatever problems that might occur in relation to the CVRAA and further assured the governor that he would be around for the launching activities. Meanwhile, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) has presented a formal request to the Provincial Government for the allocation of funds for the purchase of a provincial campsite which the former would be co-using with the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP). The BSP is now eyeing a certain property complete with an access road, potable water and even a spring which would be perfect for the campsite’s purpose. Gov. Chatto has already promised to look into the matter and discuss the same with Vice-Gov. Concepcion O. Lim and the Provincial Board Members. (jlv/EDCom)
