Concert at the park w/ Joey Ayala, ASIN’s Lolita Carbon

 

ANAO – C oncert at the Adventure Park here dubbed “Misty Mountain Concert” features songs of yesterdays of love and environmental concerns performed by Joey Ayala and Ms. Lolita Carbon of the famous ASIN and company wowed this town last night as marked its 50 th  foundation celebration. The concert was one of the highlights of the golden celebration to raise awareness on environmental protection and conservation especially in barangay where the historical hideout Francisco Dagohoy who waged the history’s longest revolt against the Spaniards. Ayala and Carbon were backed up by the Bagong Lumad Band with Onie Badiang and Tapati of Cebu City. This progressive landlocked town leads the way in terms of extreme tourism adventures with Vice-President Jejomar Binay to formally inaugurate today (Sunday) the launching of 1.5 kilometers long zipline and motorized paraglide, the first of its kind as tourism come-ons in the province, said Mayor Tom Gonzaga in an interview here.

Mayor Gonzaga said that the launching coincides with 50 th Foundation Day celebration of this municipality which made the first ever extreme adventures in tourism, like suislide or zipline, rapelling, the plunge, cable car, village tours, spelunking, root climbing and others. A 40-km bicycle run around the tourism site of barangay Magtangtang starting point at Dagohoy’s park was held yesterday. The foundation activities started July 5 with “A walk /Run to Remember at 4 AM, “Operation Hinlo,” Commune with Nature (Tree planting) and Turn-over ceremonies of Birthing Clinic Facilities donated by APOSIS thru Dr. Cecilia U. Sheuremann. The following day a people’s forum was held after the Holy Mass held at Leopoldo P. Vitor, Sr. Memorial Cultural Center on updates of Pag-ibig Civil Service Commssion, Ombudsman and Phili Health with representatives of said agencies. Gonzaga said that Medical-Dental and related services were rendered to his flock of the same venue on July 7, 2011 and opening of Agro-Fair, mass wedding and supplemental feeding and launching of the 1 st Danao Highlands Adventure Races on the following day.
