BACLAYON.-Local police are throwing a provinciwide dragnet to bag a hit and run driver who figured in a traffic accident Wednesday morning that killed one person and injuring another. Unidentified until press time, the driver of a Mitsubishi Canter was nowhere to be founf after he sidesweot a couple in the boundary of Montana and San Roque Wednesday morning. Spouses Tomas and Susana Guia were on the way to this city aboard a motorcycle when the traffic accident happened. According to initial police investigation, when the motorcycle riding couple was about to be overtaken by the cargo truck, it slowed down only to run smack to an approaching mini bus loaded with tourists.

The same investigation showed that the slowing cargo truck resulted in the motorcycle being side swept with the back rider, Susana, thrown off from the motorcycle seat. On impact, the motorcycle driver, bumped into the incoming tourist bus resulting in his death upon arrival at the Gov. Gallares Memorial Hospital. The wife escaped death and now recuperating at the same hospital due to minor injuries. The place where the mishap took place was an accident-prune area which according to police records already claimed several lives in the past.
