JAGNA .-This municipality witnessed the golden anniversary celebration of the sacerdotal ordination last week of Msgr. Orencio “Orie” D. Jubac, E.V. held at the Jagna Gym. Attended by 95 priests led by The Most Rev. Leonardo Y. Medroso, D.D., bishop of the diocese of Tagbilaran, relatives, friends, the parishioners of Jagna and parishioners from the towns he was assigned. The celebration started with a thanksgiving mass at the St. Michael the Archangel parish church officiated by the “Golden Priest” Msgr. Orie himself; the Gospel delivered by Rev. Fr. Alfredo Jubac, OSCA; Bishop Antonietto Cabahug, D.D. served as the homilist; Mrs. Virgie Jubac and Mrs. Benny Jubac Benedicto as 1 st and 2 nd reading readers; Mr. Darwin Felias, psalmist and Ms. Estrella Jubac giving the prayers of the faithful.

The reception held at the Jagna Gym started with a program where Rev. Fr. Alberto S. Uy, Parish Priest and organizer of the event welcomed all the guests. Vice Mayor Exuperio Lloren gave an inspirational speech. Different presentations to entertain the guests were provided by the different schools and a special offering for the “Golden Priest” was performed by the Paring Bol-anon Quartet. The event was spearheaded by Rev. Fr. Alberto Uy supported by Rev. Fr. Basilio Auxtero and Rev. Fr. Ulyses Dispo with the Jagna Parish staff and the working committees.
