Advanced Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Gov. Edgar and his wife Pureza Chatto. It is an established fact, that Gov. Chatto is a listener and I have heard him myself saying that he is consensus builder, he listens to what others suggest and adopt them when it is for the good of the province. Camarines Sur Governor Luis Villafuerte has set the precedence establishing a business enterprise for Camarines Sur province by the passing of the provincial board of Ordinance No. 3 providing for guidelines and procedures and for entering into Joint Venture agreements. The provincial government has also endorsed the Public Private Partnerships (PPP) as advocated by President Noynoy Aquino. Their business partnerships with private investors aim to open new doors to productive and profitable partnerships. It has lined up 18 projects for private partnerships including airport development. I suggest to the good governor to bring about business development in the province by inviting private investors to invest their money in the development of Bohol.
Among the projects which would interest private investors: Development of a call center area in the province will be an information and technology park.
1. Development of new tourist spots in the province
2. Construction of cable cars, golf course and a hotel in Carmen chocolate hills
3. Total upgrading of the saguran industry in Tubigon and Inabanga which will include a solid marketing plan for saguran products worldwide.
4. Construction of a toll bridge between Bohol and Cebu
5. Development of solar and wind power
6. Large scale production of agricultural production
7. Development of new hotels in Bohol
8. Establishment of a tarsius park in Corella making it a full time large scale establishment
9. Improve further the Loboc river cruises
10. Congressman Arthur Yap has told me personally that he can easily market jackfruit and ube products and he needs ten hectares each to reach the production levels he would require
There are other business ventures which can easily be developed in Bohol and it needs the ingenuity of the good governor and his advisers to be on the drawing board. These ventures would of course, provide for more job opportunities in Bohol. So Mr. Governor please give your constituents a good Christmas gift by establishing this business venture.
