With Christmas drawing near, the season of giving becomes part of the territory. Of course, the other end of the two-way traffic-receiving that is, is just too willing to oblige with open palms. May be saying, may your tribe increase. But make no mistake of saying may your bribe increase. The art up giving gives you the satisfaction you badly need when you do it till it hurts. We are prodded to deal with the subject of Christian charity not as a way of trumpeting our generosity. For one, we still honor the biblical injunction never let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. But for purposes of academic discussion in the name of philanthropy, we believe that there's no harm if the intention is to spread the virtue of giving straight from the heart.
We emphasize with all candor that not all people are open to sharing the bounty of their toil to anybody who needs all the help in the world. It takes a lot of spiritual guilt to part with his money let alone if one considers it as hard earned. It will be a different story altogether if the money is earned the easy way, say, winning the lottery in whatever form, legal or illegal. But for some people who have no qualms of parting part of his wealth because it is better to give than to receive, then there's no need for a pat in the back. The dictum is just do it. But our question here is, will the virtue of giving a monopoly of the righteous?
With all sincerity, we beg to disagree that, it is. For all you know, even the most sinful of persons is still capable of engaging in apostolic charity because it has become second nature to him. May be the guy is just trying to mitigate the impact of his money-making venture, and therefore it is to his best interest that once in a while he is capable of becoming a better person by sharing all the way in the name Christian practice. Why again are we so engrossed in this topic of giving? We did it in the past, and here we go again. As the risk of being labelled self-centered, let this BGlante point it out that it takes a lot of patience to be involved in Christian charity.
Being a charity patient ourself, we cannot afford to turn down anybody seeking our help for people who are similarly situated. We know that out there, many individuals are more than willing to help. Our message here to those who are seeking assistance of whatever form whether financial or otherwise, be assured that there's always a helping hand who are willing to help. This means, deep in the heart of people who are deeply immersed in Christian values, they do have a soft spot in their hearts for people who are in need. So, start looking for one now. You will discover that sinner or saint, he is just waiting for anybody who needs his help. After all, when you come down to it, you may be the richest individual in this part of the world, but never will you be able to bring your riches, once you are already buried six feet below the ground.
