Saint's intercession saved what could have been a serious accident

“St. Cecilia saved the night.” Such were the words that I managed to utter upon seeing the linemen of BOHECO-1 rushing to a nearby transformer near the Tubigon Cultural Center trying to extinguish the flame in the electrical line while the performance has just started. Thank God and Sta. Cecilia, the electrical short circuit's damage was never aggravated. That's what happened during the event in the town of Tubigon celebrating the feast of St. Cecilia, Patroness of musicians. The venue has been filled up by hundreds of spectators as the famous Lungsuranon Performing Arts rendered the invocatory dance. It was followed by the different performances rendered by various choral groups from the town as they delight the audience w/ their melodious humming of various secular and religious tones which is the highlight of the event.

Intermission numbers were also staged by champion performances from Mater Dei College Folk Dance Troupe and Mater Dei Children's Rondalla who are Bohol's champion in different competitions. Fr. Marlon Lumanas said during entire the duration of his priesthood being assigned in different parishes, Tubigon is so far the only one to host a grand occasion in honor of the music patroness. This event was conceptualized since the time of one of Tubigon's former parish priests, Rev. Fr. Danilo Maniwan through the able leadership of the Parish Pastoral Council and has been carried on for more than a decade now.
