MARIBOJOC - Some 250 functionaries of the Municipal Government converged Tuesday at the Punta Cruz Watchtower and B. Evasco, Jr. and Vice Mayor Fructuoso Redulla, Jr. took time out from their hectic Park to celebrate the 1st LGU-Maribojoc Family Day. The group headed by Mayor Leoncio schedule to strengthen the camaraderie that binds the local government unit. On the same occasion, the municipality paid tribute to three officials who will soon leave the portal of the municipal hall for reasons of reassignment and termination of term. These included Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Victor Lapiz, Jr., Liga ng mga Barngay President Marcelino Dapiton and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President Albryann Elliot Redillas.

In his message, Mayor Evasco singled out the effective team work and work ethics that existed between him and the DILG Officer. He also lauded the ABC head and SK federation prexy for “ jobs well done.” The day-long gathering of top officials and local employees featured heritage games. For this purpose, the group was divided into four teams-Green Beret, Red Bull, Blue Ice and Yellow Corn. The games included Carera de Sintas, slowest bicycle race, takyang (men), takyang (women), two-ball pinabuylog (men) two-ball pinabuylog (women), three-ball pinabuylog (men, three-ball pinabuylog (women), syato, tsinelas lata, numbers game, message relay, balloon relay, tubig-tubig, dakop-dakop sa ikog, longest line and banner raising. The final results follow: Green Beret-over-all champion;Red Bull- second place; Blue Ice-third place; and Yellow Corn- fourth place.
