PNP offers reward for rapist's capture

TAGBILARAN CITY – Bohol Provincial Office based at Camp Francisco Dagohoy in this city has offered cash incentive that would lead to the arrest of an alleged rapist-murderer even as his manhunt continues. But Camp Dagohoy led by Col. Anthony Obenza, who reportedly announce the reward, did not divulge how much the bounty will be. Police said that Emelio Panillon of Antequera town, about 18 kms from this capital city, has been elusive for past weeks. He is the suspect of raping and killing a 7-year old girl of said town. Police believe that Panillon has been hiding or hopping from place to another that made him tough to pin down, victimizing young ones. His rape with homicide case is docketed as No. VII-02-INV-10C-0106 at the National Prosecution Service of the Department of Justice. Meanwhile, Antequera town police force has been lately under fire for alleged failure to pin down Panillon. The town's police chief was reportedly begging for public assistance any sighting or whereabouts of the suspect. (RVO)
