LOAY – The municipality of Loay made history with the purchase of a multi-million filtration system for its waterworks sytem. Mayor May Lim-Imboy led local officials during the simple inaugural ceremonies Monday in barangay Calvario, this town. The first of its kind in Central Visayas , the filtration machine was the fourth of its kind in the entire country. Mayor Rosemarie Lim-Imboy was assisted by Provincial Administrator lawyer Handel Lagunay in cutting the ceremonial ribbon during the inauguration and blessing of the new filtration machine. The machine was funded with a loan from the Development Bank of the Philippines. In her short talk, Mayor Imboy assured the consumers of the Loay water system that the local government will try its best to maintain the present water rates.
