Talibon marks Civil Registration Month

 

Talibon –Anchoring on the theme "Wastong Rehistro; Lahat Panalo" one of the most progressive towns of this northern part of Bohol, the LGU-Talibon joins the whole nation in the observance of the Civil Registration Month which started last February 1. A mass wedding was one of the top activities lined up for the celebration with Mayor Juanario Item solemnizing the simple but fitting ceremony to 34 unwed couples last February 18. Hosted by Carmenena Bunado, registration officer I, a short program was held before the awaited events conducted at the President Carlos P. Garcia Memorial Session Hall.

Deliciosa Magallanes led the opening prayer, Bernadette Autida led the singing of hymns and Catalina Gurrea gave the opening remarks. V-Mayor Restituto Auxtero welcomed the couples, their sponsors, children and their relatives. Eliazar Pinat, NSO representative elaborated the importance of getting married rather than engaged in living together without benefit of marital blessing. Other activities designed for the month long celebration is the mobile registration services to seven barangays like San Pedro, Suba, Busalian, Magsaysay, Sag, Mahanay and Guindacpan. Meanwhile, some employees of LGU-Talibon were richer by P25,500 Mayor Item released the Comprehensive Negotiation Agreement (CNA) last February 16. Entitled to receive were employees holding a permanent appointment and casual plantilla.
