The Municipal Cooperative Development Council (MCDC) joined the entire province in the observance of Cooperative Month that culminated with the Fiesta sa Kooperatiba. Cooperatives all over the province joined the month long celebration. The month as October was designated as Cooperative Month with Board Member Josephine Socorro Jumamoy, chair of the committee on cooperatives of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, leading the observance. The culmination program was initiated by the Bohol cooperatives in coordination with provincial government thru the Provincial Cooperative Development Council (PDCC) and the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). All MCDCs also attended the affair..

The MCDC – Talibon participated in the holy mass held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church, K of C, Tagbilaran City . This was followed by a parade from Gallares St. to the Bohol Cultural Center where the program was held with Defense Sec. Gilbert Teodoro as the guest of honor. Also on hand to speak during the culmination were Congressmen Edgar Chatto and Roberto Cajes, Gov. Erico B. Aumentado and Vice-Governor Julius Herrera. City Mayor Dan Neri Lim also welcomed the guests and participants.

During the awarding ceremonies, MCDC-Talibon bagged for the third time the awards up for grabs. In 2005, Talibon pocketed the 1st prize for folk dance; 1st prize for most artistic banner; first prize most lively group; 2nd prize for most colorful group. No contest was held for the year 2006 and 2007. Last year, Talibon romped away with the 1st prize in kantayaw contest; 1st prize most lively group and 2nd prize best in pasalubong. This year, Talibon won the 1st prize as most lively group and 2nd place in the choral contest. It was learned that MCDC – Talibon was blessed with the series of awards through the unwavering support of Mayor Juanario Item, and his wife Councilor Virginia Item, co-chair of the committee on cooperatives. This year's Theme: One Coop Movement, One Vision, One Nation: Bagong Batas, Bagong Sigla sa Kooperatiba which served as the guiding slogan that encouraged the officers and members of MCDC to move on for the betterment of the Talibongnons.
