Two suspected drug personalities were arrested in separate operations by authorities in Tagbilaran City and Jagna town. Elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) pounced on a suspected big-time drug pusher in Booy district, Tagbilaran. The suspect was identified as one Samuel Dacaldacal, 37, married and a resident of the said barangay. Dacaldacal was arrested in a raid conducted by PDEA agents led by Intelligence Officer Earl Rallos about 3 pm last Oct. 26. The raid was conducted by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Fernando Fuentes III of the Regional Trial Court Branch 49 in Tagbilaran City. Dacaldacal yielded five grams of suspected shabu estimated to be worth more than P50,000 when sold in the streets. The raiders also recovered cash amounting to P49,900 believed to be part of the illegal activity. Dacaldacal is now under the custody of PDEA-Bohol while appropriate charges are being prepared against him.
Meanwhile, another suspected drug pusher was arrested by a PDEA team at the Jagna port about 1:30 pm last Oct. 27. The suspect was identified as one Mark Lester Uy, 26, a native of Magsaysay St. , Suba, Pasil, Cebu City. Uy was arrested during a buy bust operation by a PDEA team led by Rallos in coordination with the Jagna police station. The suspect yielded 10 small packs of suspected shabu, the P500 marked money and three cell phones. Rallos said a confidential informant tipped them off about the suspect leading to the buy bust operation moments after he disembarked from a boat from Camiguin island. |
