A Liberal party bigwig doused cold water to insinuations of a brewing conflict featuring two groups handling the first visit of presidential aspirant Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino 111 in this city on October 15. Meanwhile, the alleged misunderstanding between the brother of actor-director Cesar Montano and the combined group of former mayor Doloriech Dumaluan and businessman Donald Sevilla was ironed out Monday in a mediation proceedings held in Baclayon. Montano who is the LP candidate for Bohol governor brokered the settlement in an effort to prevent the escalation of hostilities between the group of Rommel Montano and the Dumaluan-Sevilla combine. As a sign of reconciliation, the two groups vowed to work hand in hand to promote the gubernatorial ambition of the Baclayon native.
LP COORDINATOR
The first visit of Noynoy in this city last October 15 was reportedly marred by complaints of convenors of Movement to Elect Noynoy for President (Move Noynoy) who were sidelined by the LP coordinator for Bohol. What conflict were they talking about? thus asked lawyer Antonio Amora, Jr., LP coordinator for Bohol . He felt alluded to in the news report that indicated a case of credit grabbing or upstaging as reported in the Bohol Sunday Post during the visit of Aquino in Bohol on Oct. 15. He said if at all there were miscues in the handling of the wannabe's visit, it was a case of communication breakdown. Amora who visited the Post to air his side of the story, said as a card bearing party member, it was incumbent upon him, to coordinate the activities of the party in Bohol . Amora said he is a Liberal party member since 1988. While it may be true that the Move Noynoy group had the first crack at spearheading the Noynoy activities in this city, Amora said he cannot escape responsibility of coordinating the same. He said his contacts in Manila particularly former congressman Butch Abad, a Liberal stalwart, coordinated with him regarding Noynoy's visit. Amora in turn, got in touch with the Move Noynoy group involving protocol, and other arrangements as the presidential candidate made listening tours in Bohol.
