2 killed, 2 injured in motorbike collision

 

A head on collision along CPG North Avenue involving two speeding motorcycles past 11:00 PM Friday claimed the lives of two back riders and serious injuries to their respective drivers. The two drivers, now in critical condition, are fighting for their lives at the Gov. Gallares Memorial Hospital, this city. The tranquility of the right was jolted by the incident as the two motorcycles collided near the so-called Muslim Village along CPG North Avenue . One of fatalities was identified as Jose Oscar Barbarona, 15, a resident of Tamblot St. , this city and back rider of the Honda XRM motorcycle. The other back rider of the Suzuki Raiders motorcycle who was also killed in the accident was identified as Oliver Olaivar y Montes, 18, a resident of Manga district, this city.

But the drivers of the two motorcycles cheated death and are now in critical condition at the local hospital. They were identified as Delvin Bustamante, 19, of Taloto district, also of this city. As driver of the Honda motorbike, he was found to be driving with an expired Student's Permit. The other driver of the Suzuki motorcycle was known as John Palacio y Labor, 19, of Lourdes , Cortes and said to be driving without a valid license. The two motorcycles were running in opposite direction when the smash up took place. There was no mention if they were involved in motorcycle racing as the area is known for its notorious drag races involving motorbikes.
