TPamilacan Island in Baclayon will soon have a radar system that will monitor the weather and the activities in the area for safety and security from lawless elements. This will be realized through the courtesy of Joel Uichico. Governor Erico Aumentado and Baclayon Mayor Alvin Uy visited the island the other day to check the feasibility of installing a radar in the place.
Based on initial plans, it will be installed in a barangay hall in the island that is now under construction. Aumentado vowed to provide funding for the completion of the barangay hall. Mayor Uy also vowed support to the project. On this, the residents of Pamilacan Island expressed gratitude to the governor and Uichico. Uichico explained that, though slightly used, the radar costs about half a million pesos. Pamilacan Island has been lucky enough to be a recipient of the social responsibility programs of the Ayala Foundation. |
