Baclayon heritage houses now accommodate tourists

Heritage houses lining the seaside area of Baclayon now officially start on the tourist accommodation business through the Royal Heritage Travel and Tour owned and managed by Cecile Ongque-Camba. The first group of guests was the students of the Colegio dela Immaculada Concepcion of Cebu who came three weeks ago for their cultural immersion initiated by Royal Heritage Travel and Tour. They had overnight experiences on some of the heritage houses in Baclayon for a minimal cost.

The students who came to Baclayon in batches checked out the Blood Compact site at Bool District, Malon Ancestral House, Baclayon Church and Museum, the Clarin ancestral house in Loay, Loboc River where they had lunch on the cruise, the man-made forest in Loboc, butterfly sanctuary in Alburquerque, Chocolate Hills in Carmen and Loboc tour park.

On the second day, they visited the Our Lady of the Assumption Shrine in Dauis, St. Joseph Cathedral in Tagbilaran City , Payag Restaurant where they had lunch and the Island City Mall. Before leaving for Cebu on February 15, the group dropped by dyTR for interview where they expressed delight about their tour around the tourist spots in Bohol. They also had a night of entertainment listening to a musician from Dauis hired by Bahandi, the umbrella organization of all the owners of the heritage houses in Baclayon.
