Fave victim of highwaymen robbed again

A lending firm that has become the favorite victim of highway robbers lived up to its role once again last week. In spite of police warnings to undertake security measures, the Taytay sa Kauswagan Inc. (TSKI) fell victim anew to highwaymen in Sagbayan town. TSKI has been briefed by police officials of the need to put security measures in place because of the increasing incidence of hold-ups perpetrated by its personnel. Highway robbers however made it appeal business as usual when they held up a collector of the TSKI last Jan. 23. The latest victim was identified as one Ringo Falcon, 23, a native of Tubigon town. SPO1 Elmer Sayam of the Sagbayan PNP told Station DyTR that the latest incident took place about 6 pm . Falcon was waiting for a fellow collector in Barangay Sta. Cruz when two men suddenly approached him.

The suspects who were armed with revolvers aimed their guns at him and declared a hold-up. The suspects seized Falcon's collection amounting to P9,000, his 5210 Nokia mobile phone and his motorcycle which they used in their escape. Sayam revealed that he immediately reported the incident to the Sagbayan police as soon as the suspects sped off using his motorcycle. During a follow-up operation, elements of the Sagbayan police recovered the motorcycle which was abandoned in Barangay Cantuyom, Clarin. There have been no reports however on whether the pursuit operations have determined any leads on the latest caper. Executives of the TSKI had been invited by the PNP provincial command to take precautionary measures considering the frequent hold-ups perpetuated against its personnel.
